Joannes Park Stadium

Outside Joannes Field, Aug-2006.

The playing field, as seen from just outside the first-base gate.

A peek in from the outfield, through a hole in the fence.

Quick Facts:
Joannes Park, in which this ballpark is located, is across the street from a school, just east of Baird Street between Mason and Main in one of the older parts of Green Bay.

The stadium saw a season of use in the short-lived Prairie League in 1996. It later played home to the Bullfrogs of the Northwoods League, a summer college wood-bat league. The Bullfrogs leased the stadium from the City of Green Bay and made improvements to the facility.

I was not able to get into Joannes Park Stadium on my 2006 visit. In 2019, the college summer league team moved to a new ballpark in adjacent Ashwaubenon, not far from Lambeau Field, the home of the NFL Green Bay Packers.
