Quick Facts:
Emslie Field is within Pinafore Park, a city park in St. Thomas. It is home to the St. Thomas Tomcats of the Ontario Minor Baseball League, a premier youth league in the province. The field is named for Bob Emslie (1859-1943), a native of Guelph who came to settle in St. Thomas after a career in baseball that included a short stint as a pitcher in the 1880s, but more notably a 45-year career as a major league umpire and supervisor.

For one series in 2000, the London Werewolves were unable to use Labatt Park, their usual home, so they came down here to St. Thomas and played the games at Emslie Field. The park is serviceable, though the distances are a bit short for professional baseball: only 365 feet to dead center field. St. Thomas is about 15 miles (25 km) south of London, or about halfway to Lake Erie.
