Home of the Warbirds

Home plate rotunda under construction at Wilson Stadium, Jun-2025.

A look down Goldsboro Street at the third-base construction, to include a hotel.

Quick Facts:
This is the new ballpark being built for the Wilson Warbirds, a Milwaukee Brewers-owned Minor League club that is relocating from Five County Stadium in Zebulon for the 2026 season. As of June 2025, the working name for the project is “Wilson Stadium”. It is entirely possible that naming rights will be sold between now and opening day.

The ballpark is down the block from Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park, a known attraction near downtown, and less than a mile and a half from Fleming Stadium, the old home of pro baseball in Wilson where the Mudcats actually opened the 1991 season while waiting for their new home to be completed.

Once I attend a game, additional photos and a further review will be posted.
