Quick Facts:
This is the back field facility for the Detroit Tigers, and the site where Gulf Coast League games are played. It is part of the Tiger Town complex adjacent to Joker Marchant Stadium, where the Tigers have held their spring training games since 1966.

The back fields are not easy to get into here. The easiest way is to enter as if one is going to a game at Joker Marchant Stadium, and drive past the main field to the dorms that say “TIGERTOWN” on them, and then walk back to the fields. The gate off Granada Street is usually locked.

One advantage at the back fields here is that one of the workers has built some handsome benches for player overflow seating that also serve for spectators. Umbrellas that protect against sunshine and rain are usually rolled out during GCL games. Another advantage is the view of Lake Parker, one of the lakes for which Lakeland is named, beyond right field.
