In 2012 and 2013, a team in the independent Freedom Pro Baseball League, which had three other teams playing in the Phoenix area, placed their fourth franchise here in Prescott, using this junior college field. The league failed to answer the bell for the 2014 season.

I was not able to get onto the field during my November 2018 visit, owing to renovations that were taking place at the time.
