Despite this park being within the city limits of Phoenix, it is operated by the adjacent City of Glendale, which also plays host to the professional football and hockey teams serving the Valley of the Sun. This baseball park is about four miles from the complex that hosts the other sports.

It is the largest of the Arizona spring training facilities, with over ten thousand seats. The Dodgers can draw crowds that large for spring training, but when another event comes in, such as an Arizona Fall League game, the space seems cavernous.
