Rutherford National scored seven runs in the second inning and added three in the third, and Tom Zacharias tossed four-hit ball striking out six, as the Nationals claimed their first District 5 crown, 11-2 over Saddle Brook American.
The Nationals took advantage of six walks and a hit batter in their big inning, getting two-run singles from Steve Zak and Joe Grehan. Carl Stopper also doubled for the victors.
