Kiwanis won the third and deciding game of the borough’s “Little World Series” over the American Legion team. Richie Koppel pitched for Kiwanis and held the Legion to one hit. Richie also hit a home run after Ron Ryder had doubled in the first inning, then homered again in the third inning.
Wes Marion caught for Kiwanis. Ed Young pitched for the Legion, with Matt Lorusso catching. Kiwanis won it 6-0, making five hits. The winners scored two in the first, three in the third and one in the fourth.
