Patrick Egbert sets a league high-water mark for strikeouts in a tournament game, fanning 19 for Rutherford National in a showdown with Lodi National. Ricky Pacheco gives the Nationals a 2-0 victory with a two-run homer in the top of the 8th inning.
Sante D’Arduini, recently elected league president for a second term, dies in December. Pete Schiro is named for the 1993 season. The League dedicates a plaque to D’Arduini which honors its Volunteers of the Year.
