The Aquarium

Entrance to the main field at Jim Griggs Park, Jul-2014.

Looking at the grandstand and dugouts from down the first-base line.

The view through the heavy fence behind home plate.

Quick Facts:
Jim Griggs Park is a four-field complex half a mile east of US 54/70, the main drag through Alamogordo, the city that serves Holloman Air Force Base and the White Sands Missile Range. It is in the heart of the White Sands region; the White Sands National Monument is about 15 miles down US 70 from the city.

Professional baseball arrived in Alamogordo with the White Sands Pupfish of the Pecos League, who have taken to calling the facility “The Aquarium”.
