Quick Facts:
The Georgia Southern baseball program started in the NAIA, where they won a national championship in 1962. They soon transitioned to NCAA play and qualified for two College World Series in Omaha, most recently in 1990.

In 2005, the Eagles opened this handsome facility with a double dedication. J.I. Clements was team’s head coach in the 1950s and ’60s, and he was honored with the dedication of the school’s prior baseball venue in 1985. The name was carried over to this new facility, and the field was dedicated to Jack Stallings, the coach who led the Eagles to their two CWS appearances.

Most of the field is natural grass, although there is some artificial stuff in foul territory. The fence distances are fairly typical, maxing out at 390 feet in center. Most notable here is a Blue Monster in right field into which a manual scoreboard is installed. A video board in left field displays batter information along with the count and outs. These were added during a 2017 renovation following the September 2016 arrival of Hurricane Matthew in the area.
