Highways of Passaic County, New Jersey

US 202 was first designated as a US highway in 1930. From 1930 to 1934, it was US 122; in 1935, that designation was given instead to the Pottsville-Reading road in Pennsylvania (now PA 61) and this road was labeled US 202, for its status as a spur off US 2 at Bangor, Me. The southern terminus of US 202 is US 13 at New Castle.

However, most of the highway north of Mount Tabor is controlled by county authorities. Passaic County maintains all of US 202 within its limits except for the concurrency with NJ 23 and some of the ramps leading to that highway.

The mileage log is from the road’s entrance to New Jersey just north of Lambertville.
