Highways of Passaic County, New Jersey

County Road 673

Passaic County Road 673 is the first part of the Paterson-Hamburg Turnpike, between the Passaic River in Paterson and Pompton Road in Wayne.

The bulk of the original turnpike in Haledon has been supplanted by Central Avenue, a road which was engineered later to make the path up (and down) the hill much smoother. Portions of the original turnpike still exist as Cedar Cliff Avenue and Grand Summit Avenue.
