Passaic County Road 605 is Oak Street in Clifton, which runs between River Drive (where it bends to rejoin the river) and Delawanna Avenue at the Delawanna train station. If one is heading northbound on River Drive and goes straight just beyond NJ 3 rather than taking the right turn, one is on Oak Street. I do not know the entire history of the road; it is possible that River Drive once hugged the river in this area, but was later vacated and rebuilt over part of Oak Street when NJ 3 and NJ 21 were built.
