Highways of Bergen County, New Jersey


Bergen County Road 507, part of a state network of secondary roads with numbers in the 500s, starts on Schuyler Ave on the Kearny-Harrison line, at the intersection with Harrison Ave, CR 508. It stays with Schuyler Ave until it reaches the Belleville Turnpike, NJ 7, at which point it follows the Belleville Pike along the border of North Arlington and Kearny to the Passaic River. This route log picks up where CR 507 joins NJ 7.

Prior to about 1963, CR 507 had a different route between North Arlington and Ridgewood. From the intersection of Schuyler Avenue and Belleville Turnpike, it followed CR 130, NJ 17, CR 32, CR 55, NJ 17, CR 62, and CR 80 to the intersection of Maple Avenue and Ridgewood Avenue. From that point north to the state line, it followed its current alignment.

Today’s CR 507 has absorbed large sections of CR 69 (from the Belleville Pike to Maple Ave in Fair Lawn); CR 77 (Maple Ave from Fair Lawn to Ho-Ho-Kus); and CR 62 (Franklin Turnpike from Maple Ave to the New York state line). These stretches are logged below, rather than with their original numbers.
