Highways of Bergen County, New Jersey


Bergen County Road 126 is New Milford Avenue (called simply Milford Avenue within the borough of New Milford). It connects Madison Avenue, and by extension traffic from the south end of Oradell, across to Washington Avenue in Dumont.

The first block of the road, between Madison Avenue and River Road, is now one-way eastbound to accommodate traffic at New Milford High School. NJDOT still shows it as a county road, but Bergen County now lists CR 126 as beginning at River Road (the northern terminus of CR 17), and my log now agrees.
