County Road 83

Bergen County Road 83 is Airmont Avenue in Ramsey and Mahwah, which becomes Airmont Road when it gets across the state line. Interchange 14B on the New York State Thruway is for Airmont Road.

At one time, traffic could cross NJ 17 on Airmount Avenue, but NJDOT removed the crossing when it widened NJ 17. The portion west of NJ 17 is now under jurisdiction of the Borough of Ramsey.

Another road, Masonicus Road, crosses between Airmont Avenue and Crescent Avenue, CR 81, but is also apparently under municipal jurisdiction.
