Highways of Bergen County, New Jersey

County Road 49

Bergen County Road 49 is the part of the old Bergen Turnpike between Hoboken and Hackensack. The entire highway west of Broad Street (US 1) in Ridgefield was once CR 124, but if the two sections ever connected where the Little Ferry once ran, they do so no longer. As a result, the county has reassigned the portion north of the river as CR 49.
