County Road 21

Bergen County Route 21, formerly S-33, is a shortcut connecting County Road in Demarest with Closter Dock Road in Closter. Its original number derives from an historical connection with CR 33 (now CR 501).

The entire length was designated as part of primary route 21, and the county has adopted this number as official. The idea was once to extend the road farther north through Alpine, but that never happened, mainly because Alpine.
